A History of Innovation

Founded in 1963, the company’s first product was derived from lactobacillus fermentation of cheese whey applied to corn germ meal. This innovation paved the way for many new discoveries in applied microbiology and fermentation chemistry.

In 1999, Mark Holt purchased Varied Industries Corporation and forever changed the company into a world-class manufacturer of fermentation feed ingredients. Not one to be satisfied with a me-too mentality, Mark led the company through a rapid development of new products and new technologies.

Reaching Across the Globe

At the time Mark sold the assets of Vi-COR in 2015 to Church & Dwight, it served producers in over 70 countries from their central location in Mason City, Iowa (USA).

Today Varied Industries Corp has been re-purposed to be a property management corporation.

Presently Varied Industries Corp manages 2 industrial sites in Mason City Iowa and is seeking expand into other cities to develop commercial real estate.
